~SOPHIE~
I walked down to the stables in the cold morning dressed in my purple wellies, thick fluffy socks, cream jodhpurs and a really think riding jacket. I entered the stables and smiled at the sight of Star and Heart with both their heads popped over the stable door. They both nickered friendly as I came in and i smiled really happily.
I walked up to Star and fed her a carrot then went up to Heart and fed her a carrot. It was a cold morning but I knew it was going to turn out to be a nice day. I walked through to the next barn and got my wheelbarrow, pitch fork and poo piking things so I could clean my stable.
I brought my wheelbarrow back to Star's stable and put it to the side of the door. I then went to Star's stable, I got her head collar and went into the stable. I went over to heart and put the head collar on gently and then lead her out of the stable and tied her up outside to brush her and change her rug. I undid Star's rug and carefully pulled it off her and then hung it over the rack.
I brought my grooming kit back from the tack room and opened it and got the body brush out and started to groom Star, I went over her coat thoroughly and made it shine nicely. I combed through her tail, main and forelock. and then finished her off with some shinny hoof oil. I then rugged her up in a rug that would keep her warm in the field. I then untied Star and led her out to the field.
I arrived at Star's field and led her in and shut the gate behind me. I slipped Star's head of gently and she nickered friendly then nudged me. I smiled and patted Star happy, Star nickered again and then trotted off to the best patch of grass. I smiled and watched Star and then went back to the stables.
When I got back to the stables I hung Star's head collar up on the hock and then went into her stable and started mucking out. I cleared out all the droops and the wet then added some new shavings and then neatened up the stable by doing the banks neatly and then flattening the shavings on the bottom out. When i'd finished I went to put the muck on the muck heap and then came back and shut Star's stable door then went on to do Heart.
