He looked over at her for a split second, and then turned back a bit confused. He expected her to just say loud mouths, but she added drunks. Made him think about her past a bit, he just let it go when she said something again. He nodded slightly "Yea. Beau sighed and ran his hand lightly up and down Cass' shoulder. He listened to her give a small relaxed sigh and he felt the corners of his mouth turn up a bit. Cass was really the only thing that got him to give a twinge of smile. His mare was perfect to him, and he just really adored her. Cass had a very alerted way to her, shy and scared, but yet again she had this wild confidence, and he loved how strange she was. She had a slowed, easy step, but at the same time, it wasn't lazy and leaving her behind the group. It was just her, and she was a unique horse and he adored her for that. He looked up, his eyes coming back into vision and then he nodded at what she said. Just thinking to himself as always.

She sighed with the ghost of a smile on her lips, she kept her eyes ahead on the trail, her saddle creaked and squeaked as Wasp moved is big shoulders forward, she sat back and let her mind run around for a bit, she almost smiled a full smile when her mind seemed to start having its own conversation, she did that a lot. Think of something wanted to sat to someone and play it through in her mind and it usually ended up being a full hour long conversation, but her thoughts were cute off when Wasp stopped quickly and grabbed a bite to eat, she rolled her eyes and pulled his head up giving him a kick and he started walking forward again. "You have got be the laziest horse." She grumbled to the old gelding, Wasp may have been lazier then pretty much any horse she still loved him, he was a slow poke like her, never in a rush to catch up with anyone, never in a rush. Wasp snorted and continued to walk like there no reason in the whole world why he should move.

He listened to her saddle, and found himself looking at her as if studying her. He glanced away, his sea green eyes flickering off to the side, staring at the trail ahead of him. He sat back in the saddle, then shifted forward a bit, thinking to himself. How were his brothers doing? Probably as crazy and obnoxious as ever. His brothers were nothing like him. They were both brunettes, one had brown eyes and the other had blue. They looked nothing like him, and didn't have as much muscle or height to them. They were a band of misfits, his younger brother actually had a bit of a red tinge to his hair. They acted nothing alike, except that his brothers both liked to party. He liked silence, and didn't miss their rowdiness one bit. He sighed, but he did miss their sense of humors, and how when they did get along it was fun to be with them. Then he remembered their friends, some of their friends had bothered to make a good impression on him, soften those walls and drag him out for some fun. He had to admit, it was fun what they did, but it wasn't what he wanted to do. So he would retreat back to his horses, and they finally gave up and would just visit him when they came to the ranch. His thoughts were broken as her horse stopped to eat some, and he slowed the painted mare. But kept her going as Kai got the gelding going again. He looked at her and decided to speak, he couldn't remember if he had already asked this, and just decided to ask again if he did. "So, um, how long have you been here?" He asked, and let himself glance at her than back to the trail.

Kai leaned back in her saddle looking up at the sky for a moment thinking of her life back home, it wasn't all annoying. She had always loved hanging out with her cousins, as long as they stayed sober. They liked to have parties and she never liked those but she did like hanging out with them sometimes, but her shyness kept her hidden most of the time. She never really had or kept friends, she smiled a little to herself sad that she never really had enough courage to be part of a group. But for the most part she liked to avoid spots where she was with more then one person, she just always felt more in her element with one person and even more so when she was with horses or people who understood them. She sighed patting the gelding neck again still letting her feet dangle from the stirrups, when he asked the question she almost jumped, she shrugged and tucked her hair behind her ear. "I a few months not to long." She said rubbing the gelding neck, "But I'll be here for a few years after that were moving again." She said looking up at the sky again and half smiled, "Not that that was what you asked." She wasn't sure she would be ready when they moved again she prayed she would be, it was her dream and if she failed it would be horrible.

Beau sat back in the saddle, and traced his index finger along the ridge of the withers on his mare. The corner of his mouth turned up in a gruff sort of half smile at her words. "Thats nice. And don't worry, I get a lot of answers to questions that I dont like, it doesn't matter to me." Pushing his hands along his legs, he sighed, then looked at the trail. "Well, at least you have a few years here, who knows how long they'll hold me hostage here." He said, scowling. He hated being forced to do things. Pushing his hands into his pocket, his eyes darkened, being forced to do things is where he became angry. He gruffly mumbled something, and stared ahead. He didn't mind people asking questions, if they wanted to know something, by all means they should ask. He had nothing to hide, and was an up front person. If he didn't like something he would easily approach the person about it. He sighed, and wondered if this girl would ask him about being held hostage here, and couldn't help but let the corners of his lips turn up.

Kai traced over her bottom lip as she moved her legs around to keep the blood from rushing to her feet cause that could hurt hopping down with all the blood them. She felt the corners of her mouth twitch up a little at his answer and nodded, "Yep..." Was all she said in answer not really sure there was anything else she could say without starting to babble, hey she was shy not a mute. She did enjoy talking when she was relaxed and since horses brought that out in her, she was starting to feel more like talking then normal. She looked sideways at him with her eyes and raised her eyebrow a little bit, well that was a bit of a weird reply. She thought and just mentally shrugged and went back to looking up the trail not really bothering with trying to find a reply for him. But something tugged at her and she tilted her head sideways in thought, she wondered more about the exsprian he had then the what he had just said. Something in it made her want to ask questions, but at the same time she didn't like getting into peoples private feelings or any feelings for that matter she just didn't like emotions much. But in the end of her ever annoying brain said, "Hostage? Never heard that one before." She never stopped looking ahead at the trail and again her over thinking brain hopped she hadn't said something totally stupid or offending, people usually said she danced around feelings to much, hers and other peoples. Always wondering if she was going to be hurtful or dumb, and someone would just think she was stupid.

Something made Beau think, and the edges of his lips fought to pull up in a smile. He knew that she was probably thinking about his response. He waited. Knowing she would finally decide to ask him what he meant. He just decided to wait patiently, a hint of a smile settled on his lips. Finally, she asked. He chuckled, a low laugh Yup, Hostage dear. I guess I should be grateful to be able to spend more time with my Cass, but the only reason they sent me here, is because apparently I'm too anti-social He spat the words, for the first time, the emotion anger showing when he was with someone else. They are apparently concerned about me and my social life, but who really cares, you know what I mean? If I want to stick to myself, I should be allowed to without being questioned. That was probably the most words he had spoken to the girl the entire time. His brow furrowed, then his expression softened, and he shrugged his broad shoulders. Formal as always. I apologize, you didn't have to hear all that. He sighed, then turned his head back towards the direction of the trail, resting his rough hands on the saddle horn, relaxing.

A deep breath escaped her lips, it wasn't a sigh or even her taking a calming breath, its just sometimes she felt like she need to clear her breathing and that resulted in a big breath. She glanced at him when he answered but still watched where she was going, Wasp didn't turn unless asked so if they came to a corner she would have to turn him or go walking through brush. Kai frowned a little at what he said, she could hear anger in his voice and thought she understood what he met, some people were loners they didn't like people to much, and in a way she was like that. She liked company but not a lot of it. So thought about what he said first but still listed to his next part, and that made even more sense to her. She remembered when she was little a fight her mom and uncle had had about her. He had thought she was to sucked into herself, that she wouldn't make it in the world, it was none of his business and it had caused her mom to cry from the fight. She remembered not understanding it till she saw her mom try not to cry. Kai almost jumped when he apologized about what he said, she had almost forgotten he was there and quickly unclenched her jaw refusing to put her emotions out for someone else to see. She shook her head and said, "No need to apologize, I don't mind. But yeah I do know what you mean, just cause everyone thinks you should have a busy social life, doesn't mean you need to have one. Its not other people's place to say whats good for you and whats not over things like that." She said staring at the horn on her saddle trying to keep the bitterness out of her voice. "Life is only good if you live it the way you are." She mumbled under her breath.
