Grace walked up to the door marked "12". She dug her new key out of her pocket, and unlocked the door. Walking inside, she smiled. "What's up, room?" she said, shutting the door behind her. "I'm Grace. And you're my new home. So, hi." She crossed the room in a few steps, and put her things on top of the bed. She looked around, taking in every little detail. 'This is nice,' she thought. Bingo had seemed to settle in okay, and now it was Grace's turn. She opened the closet and shook her head. "No, no," she said to herself. "We can't be having an empty closet." She started pulling her clothes out of one of her bags, hanging some and folding others carefully. She hummed to herself as she put away her clothes. Once she was finished she stood back and looked at the closet again. "Much better," she decided with a triumphant grin. She busied herself for the next few minutes, unpacking and putting things away in their new places. Last of all, she pulled out a framed photograph of a young girl and a small dappled grey pony. Grace ran a thumb over the front of the photo, and placed it gently on the bedside table. The young girl in the photo was Grace, and the pony was Luna, Grace's very first horse. Grace sighed. The photo brought back a lot of memories, not all of them happy. She loved Bingo with every inch of her heart, but every girl kept a special place inside for their first horse. She looked away from the photo and surveyed the room again. She decided that everything was in order -at least for now. Grace had a habit of making things a mess, even if they did start out nice and neat. She looked out of the window, and her gaze ate up all of her surroundings. She'd already seen the office, the boarder barn, and now her new apartment. But that wasn't nearly enough. She had a curious nature, and right now she wanted to go and explore the rest of her new home. 'After I visit Bingo,' she reminded herself. She gave one last look around the room, and headed out the door, only just remembering to grab her room key. It wouldn't be a good thing to lock herself out on her first day here. She rolled her eyes at herself, locked the door behind her, and went to explore.
