I walked Bingo up a trail that looked good. "This one looks okay," I laughed to Lucy. "We'll have to make our own map of good trails," I joked. Bingo tossed his head, stepping out nicely in the fresh air. I smiled, it was nice riding around here. "Steady on bud, wait for your friend," I laughed, pulling on the reins a bit. I turned in the saddle as Bingo slowed, grinning at Lucy. "What do you think? Good choice in trails?" I asked with a laugh.

I smiled reining in Apollo no one would have ever guessed that he hadn't been rode in like a year "yeah it looks nice," I said smiling and moving up next to her "yeah" I said laughing at her joke, I smiled "yeah great choice" I said nodding and kicking Apollo into a nice smooth walk.

I grinned as Lucy and Apollo came up beside us. Bingo didn't even flick his ears; he might be a nut otherwise, but when someone was riding him he was perfect. I rubbed his neck and smiled. "Good boy Bingo," I said to him. I looked around at our surroundings, and saw a shimmer in the distance that looked like a lake or something. "How's Apollo with water?" I asked. Bingo loved playing in lakes, and swimming with him was fun. It would be nice and refreshing too. Bingo sensed my excitement and burst into a trot. I bounced for a second, surprised, but pulled him back again. "Hold your horses, Bingo!" I exclaimed. "No pun intended," I added.

I laughed "are you kidding? Apollo is a total waterdog" I said and then laughed when Bingo took off and then at what she said "kinda figured that" I said laughing and catching up to her, "I take it Bingo likes the water?" I said/asked her, and started walking to the lake up in the distance.

I grinned. "Wicked," I said with a laugh. I nodded and rolled my eyes. "Yeah, if Apollo's a water dog then Bingo's a fish," I said. I let Bingo have his head, and he tossed his mane excitedly. "I bet as soon as we get in the lake he'll try to drown me," I laughed. I leaned back and rested my head on Bingo's rump as he walked. "Ow...This is so much more comfy bareback," I said with a grimace, as the saddle dug into my back. I stared up at the sky and watched the clouds float past. "It's so beautiful out here," I said with a smile.

I laughed and rolled my eyes too. "really that's hilarious" I said laughing at the statement, and then I laughed at Bingo when he whipped him head, I laughed again letting Apollo trot a little bit more of a jog since it was slow and more collected, "yeah I'd think it would be, wouldn't catch me trying to do that with a western saddle" I joked patting the high back on my saddle, I looked around "yeah it really is" I said with a smile "peaceful too" I said smiling.

I laughed and sat up, groaning as the saddle dug sharply into my back again. I looked over at Lucy's saddle and shook my head. "Yeah, no way would I do that in your saddle," I laughed. I looked back up the trail; we were getting closer to the lake now. I let Bingo trot next to Apollo, smiling as he stopped tugging on the reins now that he'd got what he wanted. I nodded. "Yeah. A bit of peace and quiet's always good," I said with a laugh. A cool breeze blew in and ruffled Bingo's mane, then flicked across my face. "Ah, that's nice," I said, turning my face more into the wind. All too soon it was gone, and I scowled. "Too much of a good thing, hey?" I said, shaking my head. "We're nearly at the lake, I think," I said, pointing forwards. Instead of a distant shimmer, I could now clearly see the water rippling. I let Bingo trot a bit faster, sitting comfortably in the saddle. I grinned at Lucy. "At least the water's gonna last longer than that breeze," I said. I couldn't wait to jump into the lake and cool off.

I laughed "yeah western saddles have a higher back on them" she said smiling and looking back toward the water "yeah you don't get much peace when you live in Ney York City with a drunk for a father" she said instantly regretting saying anything about her father, I smiled looking at the lake "its beautiful" I said breathlesy as Apollo came to a stop at the waters edge "yeah you got that right" I said smiling and looking out over the clear water its gorguse here" I said letting Apollo splash his foot in the water.

I chose not to say anything when Lucy mentioned her father. It sounded like the kind of topic she didn't want to discuss. "You lived in New York?" I asked. "I've never been. What's it like?" I'd almost gone to New York for a holiday once, but it got cancelled at the last minute. I grinned when we reached the lake. It was really beautiful, I was speechless. I nodded and laughed as Apollo splashed in the water. Bingo tried to charge forward, but I made him stop and jumped off quickly. "Hold on, bud," I laughed. "I'm not letting that saddle get ruined just because you wanna play in the deep end!" I slid Bingo's saddle off and rested it against a tree so it wouldn't get soaked. I took a couple of steps back, then ran at Bingo, using a handful of his thick mane to vault onto his broad back. "Now we can go for a swim," I laughed, kicking Bingo into the water. He pawed at it with his hoof for a minute before frisking further in. I laughed, and soon I was drenched as Bingo found himself in deeper than he could stand. I let go of the reins and stood on his back as he swam, then I jumped off and dove underwater. When I resurfaced, I made a face. "God, it's f-freezing!" I chattered, swimming back to Bingo and climbing back on. I folded my arms around myself and grinned. "Worth it th-though," I laughed. (Ahhh in 6 months I actually am going to New York!! Super excited haha)

(hey that's cool, I have never been anywhere except the hot duty part of California, but I have been to Libby Montana its so beautiful there, and my cousins have been to Alaska, and where my family goes camping every year usually there are these people there that have horses that just run loose and they go swimming with the horses all the time its really cool to watch, you always have to watch out though cause there are rattle snacks and brown lacrus spiders and scorpions. my second cousin by marriage has been to NY before 9/11 happened)
I smiled thinking to when I lived in new York "well noisey, lots of people, I spent most of my time in park cause that's where the stables were, but it was beautiful mostly, like any place it had its ugly places" I said smiling, I had never thought I would miss New York but I did kinda, I laughed when Bingo tried to rush into the water and then sliding off of Apollo I took of his western saddle, and pulling myself back up on him, all that cheer leading had payed off after all, and then letting Apollo hop out into the water, "your right it is freezing I will probably have to Apollo's blanket on him when we get back" I laughed and let Apollo swim around a little and then kicked him towards land "OK boy you have had enough fun for now" I said holding on tight as he jumped from the water, "so you ready to head back before we catch a cold?" I asked I didn't really care, just thought I would ask.

(haha awesome. I've never been to the US before!! ive been to Malaysia, Sabah and Brunei but other than that ive only been here in australia so im super excited, we're going to la, kansas, new york, phoenix, nashville and vegas ) I laughed as Lucy and Apollo joined us in the water. "Yeah, Bingo's definitely gonna need a blanket," I laughed. "And I'm gonna need about five!" I laughed as Bingo whinnied. "Hey, you have all that nice thick hair to keep you warm!" I laughed at him, guiding him back to the land. I nodded to Lucy. "Yeah, I can't stand to stay in there any more; we're gonna have to find a warmer lake!" I laughed. I held onto Bingo's mane as he shook himself dry, then I slid off him. "I'll give him a few minutes to dry off before I put his saddle back on, I said, tucking Bingo's reins into the side of his bridle. "Stay put," I told him, going to sit against a tree. Bingo knew enough to stay where he was, and he only walked a few paces before he started to graze. I grabbed his saddle pad and wrapped it around myself. "We shoulda brought towels," I laughed, shivering.

(haha that's totally cool I have been the edge of vegas lived there for a little while, man was it hot! I could never stand living there, the lady I got my horse from recently went to Vegas yeah I have never been anywhere but the west side of the States, I think I am gonna post some pics of where my family goes camping in the summer before to long and hope you have an awesome trip ) I smiled and then laughed "yeah me too" I said to her, scarpping some of the water off of Apollo, and ruffed his mane flipping water every where, and then I shook my head like a dog and water went every where, and Apollo whinnied and whipped his head "oh shut up, you did it with me on your back!" I said to him before laughing again when he snorted at me "ha sounds like he's saying huff" I said to Grace before dropping my long western reins on the ground and leaving him there and he didn't even lower his head to the ground, and then looking to Grace "he's ground broke means as soon as his reins touch the ground he thinks he's tied up and won't even drop his head to graz" I said, and then gave myself a mentel slap she probably already knew that duh, I thought.

(haha cool. lol im used to the heat, i live at the top of australia and it gets stinking hot here lol. thanks! i cant wait haha)
I laughed at Lucy and Apollo. "Yeah, it's like it's okay for them to wet us, but not for us to wet them," I laughed. Then I shook my head. "Did that even make any sense?" I giggled. I smiled at Lucy as she ground tied Apollo. I nodded. "Oh, cool," I said. I already knew what it was, but I didn't want to sound like a know it all in front of my new friend. I curled up into myself as another breeze blew through, sending all over me. "Sometimes I wish I had fur covering me," I laughed, looking longingly at Bingo's thick mane.

(haha yupp. yeah where we go camping every year its so hot! every day is like 85 or 90 degrees some times hotter, and the wind is always blowing feels like a gaint heater! and every one gets wind burn and sun burned, and theres this huge sand bar we go to when we camp and you can't even walk on the top of it cause its so hot, my dog Buddy burned his paws on it when he was younger and my friends dog Jude did the same thing, and last year one of my little cousins burned her feet!. haha hehe, welcome ) I laughed at what Grace said "huh well kinda" I said laughing, and stroking Apollo a few more times before ploping down on the ground "Apollo don't you dare get that saddle wet you hear" I said shacking my head "the water won't hurt it, it will just take fore ever to dry" I said smiling and then laughing at Grace "yeah that would be nice some times" I said smiling and rubbing my arms slightly "so you ever done any western riding?" I asked.

(aww lol that sucks. i hate walking on hot sand :S )
I laughed. "Yeah, a little bit of water won't hurt my saddle...But it's the first saddle I bought with all my own money, so I'm not taking any chances," I laughed. I nodded at Lucy's question. "Yeah, I've done a little," I said. "Bingo's ace at it, but I'm more of an english girl," I laughed. "I wanna learn some more though, all I've really done is some barrels." I smiled. "I started learning western before I came here actually, but now that I've moved I haven't really had a chance to do any more." I really wanted to learn more as well, I loved learning new things and western riding was definitely fun.

(yeah last year camping wasn't as fun casue my best friend coudln't come with us witch really sucked, but she might get to go this year, I really hope she can)
I nodded. "yeah I know what ya mean," I said smiling. "that's cool, I hear they have a western riding instructer here" I said with a smile. I hadn't met him but I had seen his horses and they were beautiful some the most beautiful horses I ever saw. "he has these two arabains wow their beautiful ones pure black and the other is pure white," I said and then adding "I guess both are recovering from being straved and beaten." And then thinking for a momet "they must have problems with stalls cause I have never seen them be put in a stall" I said I had just got my horses here today it didn't mean I hadn't looked around first.

(yeah campings so much better with friends. lol last time i went camping me and my friend were walking around the beach we were at, and he found a giant dead jellyfish. it was huuuge and it had a dead fish inside it xD )
"Awesome," I said with a grin. When we got back I wanted to find this western instructor, it would be cool to start up western riding again. "Aw, his horses sound amazing," I sighed. Bingo snorted from where he was grazing and I giggled. "Not as amazing as you, pretty boy," I smooched to him. He looked up with his ears pricked forward, but when he saw I had no treats for him he dropped his head and resumed his grazing. I rolled my eyes with a smile. "Why do you think they were starved?" I gasped. I couldn't bear the thought of someone hurting horses, and it made me sick to think of anyone who could do it. "That's so sad," I said. I couldn't imagine what it would be like for the poor horses. What could have happened to them to make them afraid of stalls. "I hate people who are cruel to horses!" I scowled. "We should lock them up in a stinking rotten stall and see how they like being whipped and tortured!" I knew I probably sounded psycho, but I'd seen abused horses before, and it broke my heart to see them so scared.

(that's cool, I seen huge salmon run in our river once, the water was about 3 ft deep and the salmon were between 2 and half ft to 3 and half ft long it was really cool to watch, cause if you just sit there on the edge the water and watch them they would stay at the top of the water.)
I nodded. "yeah, I have only seen them in the pasture a few times, the black won't come up the fence but the white will she's really pretty too." I said, I never pet either but I had watched them run before they really seemed like wild horses, and then snapping my head back up at the question, "the black looks like he still a little under weight and the white has a bunch of scars on her back and neck," and then shacking my head "I don't know why they would be afraid of stalls, guess you could ask the instructor when you find him since their his horses" I said with a slight smile. "yeah they really should, its so annoying I mean how would they like it if they were beat and starved for weeks even months?" I asked and shook my head, "I'm just happy Apollo never had to go threw anything like that" I said smiling and pulling his head down to me, and he nickered "yeah I guess you are too," I said smiling at him. I stood up and walked around him and checking to see how dry he was "well your dry enough where your saddle won't get wet threw the saddle pad" I said to him and he whipped his head, I smiled and turned toward Grace "so we ready to go? or did you want to stay here a little longer?" I said. It didn't really matter to me when we got back I just wanted to know what she wanted to do, "oh and I think the instructors name is Dean something I can't recall his last name" I said with a shrug.

(haha wow that would be so cool to see!!)
I frowned. I still couldn't bear to think of what the instructor's horses would have gone through. "I don't think he'd like it if I pried into his horse's past..." I said. "I mean, if Bingo had an awful past I wouldn't want someone reminding me of it." I smiled then, glad that Bingo had a great past and nothing bad had happened to him. "And nothing ever will," I said fiercely to myself. I jumped up and felt Bingo's sides. "Yep, he's dry too," I said. "Let's get this show on the road! Again..." I laughed and picked up Bingo's saddle pad and saddle, slinging them over his back easily. I quickly did up the girth, double checked to make sure it was tight, then swung myself up into the saddle. I reached forward and pulled the reins out from the side of Bingo's bridle. "Ready to go?" I asked with a smile.

(yeah it was cool, but I haven't seen it happen in a few years wish I had gotten pics of it)
I smiled. "yeah I would understand that" I said. Apollo may not have an abused past, but I did and I didn't appreciate people prying into my past. "yeah thank God Apollo had a good past and will never have to go threw anything bad and harmful to him" I said. 'just like I will never go threw it again,' I thought to myself. I smiled grabbing my saddle and putting it onto his back and tightening the girth. I stroked his neck as I grabbed his reins and flipped them over his head, and swinging up into the saddle. "okay I'm ready" I said kicking him lightly to go into a slow jog.

I frowned a little in confusion when Lucy said she'd never have to go through it again. I thought better of asking though. I smiled as she saddled up Apollo and mounted him, and I turned Bingo after them and gently pushed him into a trot. Instead of rising to the beat of his trot, I decided to sit instead. It was easy with Bingo's laidback pace, and I found myself looking around again as we trotted along easily. I turned to Lucy. "So, do you ride english at all?" I asked with a smile.

I smiled as they came up next to use. "yeah some, I have show jumped a few times but that didn't work out, since I fell every time Apollo landed" I said rolling my eyes, "never got the landing thing down, but I can jump really good if I have my western saddle on him" I said patting his neck, I was thank full she didn't ask about what I had said eariler, I hadn't meant to say anything. My father was the reason I never went swimming in swim suits, I had many scars on my back and preferred to keep them to my self. It was my cross to bear and I didn't wan't to burrden anyone else with my troubled past.
(hmm...)

I laughed. "The landing's always been my least favourite part of jumping," I grinned. Except for me it was a completely different reason. Once I'd landed, I wasn't in the air anymore. That one moment when it was just my horse and me in the air, flying. That was what I loved. "I couldn't imagine jumping in a western saddle," I cringed. I was glad there was nothing at the front of an english saddle for me to smack down onto when I landed from jumps. Speaking of jumping made me even more eager to take Bingo to the cross country course. I couldn't wait to go flying over the jumps with him. I smiled and gave Bingo a small kick, increasing his pace to a faster trot.
(Gahhh I rode a western horse for the first time yesterday...Omg. I'm in loveeeeee :L )

I smiled. I kicked Apollo into a faster trot to keep up with Grace. I laughed "why? its just like using a English saddle you just have longer stirups. Witch is why I like them better cause I can better stabul myself and not fall off" I said with a laugh and kicking Apollo into a fast canter. As we reached the yard I pulled him down to a nice walk and turned to Grace "so what now?" I asked raising my eyebrows. (awesome I got to ride my horse yesterday first time in about a month and a half so so happy XDXDXD)

I laughed at Lucy. "Yeah...Except english saddles don't have a horn to bash yourself on." I smiled and then laughed as Lucy and Apollo cantered off in front of us. I nudged Bingo into a canter too and laughed as his mane flew into my face. "Dangit Bingo, I can barely see," I grinned and stood up in my stirrups. We were back at the stables now, and I pulled Bingo back to a walk next to Lucy and Apollo. Sitting back in the saddle, I smiled. "No idea," I laughed, shrugging. I really had no clue what to do now. "I'm kinda hungry," I said with a smile. I walked Bingo around on a loose rein, letting him put his head down and walk slower to cool out. "Then again, I'm always hungry," I laughed. (Aww YAY!!!! Haha that's wicked )

I laughed and shook my head "if you know how to jump in them then its easy not to bash your self on the horn" I said with a smile. I laughed and let Apollo drop his head to eat the grass. I looked over at Grace "jeez he has a big mane" I said laughing. "huh well you want to get something to eat? or see if we can find the riding instructer?" I asked "or see if we can find some one who has eatin' around here before?" I asked again. "Yeah I am always hungrey" I said smiling.

I laughed. "Well I might just have to learn sometime," I said with a smile. I nodded, and hugged Bingo around the neck, burying my cheek in his bushy mane. "Yep. It's annoying sometimes, but it's a comfy pillow," I said with a smile. "But it takes me hours to rosette him for a show." I laughed and sat up again, listening to Lucy's suggestions. "We might as well add a map of good places to eat to our list of good trails," I winked. "I think there's a diner in town, we could try there?" I laughed at what she said. Bingo whinnied and nodded his head a few times, and I smiled. "Yeah, yeah. You're hungry too," I laughed. "Tell me something I don't know." I gave him a quick pat on the neck, then turned to Lucy to see what she would say.

I laughed. "Yeah its really fun" I said smiling. I luaghed "yeah I bet. His mane looks like a gaint stuffed animal" I said laughing and looking back to Apollo he had a farley long mane but it was thin and didn't get in the way." I laughed "yeah I bet it would take forever" I said with another laugh. I smiled "yeah sounds good strang I have lived here for a few years but I have never gone anywhere to eat" I said shrugging. I heard a whinny some where close I didn't reginize it though, I turned in my seat to see a beautiful black and white horse being led by a girl with blue black hair that hung to her waist. "Hey you two new here? I'm Z and this is my mare Shadow" she said in a fast hyper tone. Her shiny black hair hanging to her waist she had forgotten to put it up in a pony tail today before she left her room. Shadow whipped her head and nickered to the other horses. Z laughed and looked at both the horses "what type of horses our your horses? I know he must be a Gyspy Vanner" she said smiling and pointing to Bingo. "Shadow is Pintoabian and thoroughbred" she said proudly patting her 16 hand mare on the neck. (haven't used Z in a while decided now was as good a time as any )

I smiled and rubbed Bingo's neck. "Yup. He's my big cuddly stuffed toy," I laughed. "It's settled then. The diner it is," I said with a smile. I jumped off Bingo and grabbed his reins in one hand, then I turned when I heard a whinny. I smiled at the girl leading her gorgeous horse. "Hey. Yeah, I'm new. I'm Grace, and this is Bingo," I said to her. Bingo whinnied loudly to Shadow, and I kept a firm hand on the reins, pulling him back a few steps. "Yup, you're right. Bingo's a Vanner," I smiled. "He's also a stallion, just so you know," I warned her. Bingo wasn't dangerous or anything, but I didn't want anything to happen to Z's gorgeous mare. "Shadow's beautiful," I smiled to her. (haha coolies )

I smiled at Z "yeah I am new here, I'm Lucy and this my paint Apollo" I said happily sliding down from the saddle "that's cool I have a pintoabian filly" I said smiling. Apollo nicked to the mare and then ignored her and dropped his head trying to eat as much grass as he could before we left. "She's so pretty she looks like a pure arab but bigger and black and white" I said with a smile.
Z smiled wide at them "he's beautiful" she said to Grace and then nodded in understanding. "Shadow will be fine she's been around stallions before, she has even had a foal before, but mostly she is a dressage horse" she said with a wide and happy smile on her face. Then she remembered she had a hair band in her pocket pulling it out and pulling her hair into a long high pony tail got her hair out of the way, but also showed the the scar on her cheek she also had a huge scar on her arm. "that's better, this hair getting in the way a lot" she said with a laugh running her figures threw her long black hair. She looked at Apollo "he's pretty and wow that's cool I haven't meant anyone lately who knew what a pintoabian was much less owned one. And if I over heard right your going to the diner? well if you are its great their burgers are awesome, so are their pancakes" she said in one breath. She pulled herself up onto Shadow today she planed on taking a ride with her out of the ring.
