Tom grinned and laughed. "Okay!" he said happily. He left Cola's tack on the side of the washbay to pick up later. He started to lead the pony down to the pastures, smiling as Cola shook himself happily and danced along next to his human. Tom smiled, glad that Cola was having fun. The cheeky gelding pawed at the ground when they reached the gate. "Hold your horses," Tom muttered as Cola tried to break away to the other horses in the field. "No pun intended," he grinned, holding the gate for Serena and Duke, positioning his pony so the other horses couldn't get out.

Serena clicked to Duke, who perked up when he saw the other horses. He whinnied and tossed his head, making Serena laugh. "Thanks!" she said to Tom, then walked inside the gate.

Tom nodded. "Not a problem," he smiled, shutting the gate behind her and Duke. Cola nickered to the bigger horse, then tugged at his rope, trying to get free. "Okay kiddo," Tom laughed, undoing the pony's bridle and slipping the bit out of his mouth. Cola bucked and then raced off down the pasture, kicking up his heels and sliding to a stop in front of the other horses, ducking down his head and squealing. Tom grinned as he watched his pony having fun. The other horses weren't as amused, and ignored Cola's attempts to play with them. Eventually, he trotted off on his own then rolled in the grass, standing up and shaking off then dropping his head to graze alone. Tom smiled and whistled to his pony, but Cola ignored him. "Food's more important I guess," Tom laughed.

Serena giggled as Cola messed around. He was so cute! Duke stood staring, alert, his ears pricked. Serena undid the throatlash, nose band and flash, and gently took the bridle from his head. She fed Duke a piece of carrot and he nudged Serena with his nose, then trotted off happily to where Cola was now grazing.

Cola's head flew up when Duke joined him, and he whinnied happily, greeting the bigger horse in a half rear. He trotted around, flinging his head in the air, then stopped and began to graze again. "Aww, Cola made a friend," Tom laughed, watching his pony with a smile. "I'm glad," he said. "Usually he tries to boss the other horses around and he just gets picked on," he laughed.

Serena giggled as Duke stood staring at the little pony. Duke was so laid back, he let anything fly. "Aww, he's so funny!" Serena said to Tom, still giggling.

Tom nodded in agreement as he watched the two horses. "Maybe Duke'll have a calming effect on Cola," he laughed to Serena. His pony watched the bigger horse as he grazed, occasionally stamping a hoof at Duke, as if he was trying to remind him who was boss. Tom rolled his eyes and laughed. "Gotta love him," he said with a smile.

Tom laughed. "Yeah," he said, smiling. He slung Cola's halter over his shoulder and scratched an itch on his arm, then gazed at the horses again. He whistled at Cola, but the pony ignored him completely, much more interested in the grass than his owner. Tom laughed. "I guess that's my cue to leave then," he said with a smile. "A messy stall awaits me."
(PS...I'M BAAAAACCCKKKKKK!!!!! :L )

Serena smirked at Tom. "Lucky I did Duke's before." she winked. "I'll give you a hand, though" She began walking back to the stables with Tom, picking up Duke's halter.
(YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY have fun? <3 )

Tom laughed. "Lucky for you," he chuckled to her. He smiled in appreciation to Serena. "You don't have to help," he laughed to her as they walked back. "Cola's only a midget, his mess isn't that big," he said. He smiled to her as they reached the stables, then walked inside and down to Cola's empty stall.

Serena shook her head. "I don't mind. Besides, I've got nothing else to do."

Tom smiled to her. "In that case, thanks," he said to her. He was happy that he already had a friend, and one that was willing to help him clean a stall at that! He opened Cola's stall door and fished some hay out of the pony's otherwise clean water, then surveyed the mess. It wasn't that bad, but Cola had a habit of kicking his piles everywhere, so the mess was scattered. Tom rolled his eyes and laughed, then went and grabbed a wheelbarrow and a manure fork. He was glad that Serena had offered to help him, but he knew he wouldn't actually let her help. He was way too nice to let somebody else help him to clean up after his pony. Propping the stall door open with the wheelbarrow, Tom started picking up the soiled hay. "We should go for a ride or something tomorrow," he said to her as he worked. "If you've got nothing else to do," he added with a wink and a laugh.
