Welcome to Green-Briar Farms everybody! Now, you should know that this is a racing stable, but we offer other disciplines for the riders that don't enjoy the Sport of Kings.
Disciplines
English: Show jumping, cross country, and I might add dressage in the future, but I'd like to stick to racing.
Western: Quarter-mile racing. This type of race is specified for Quarter Horses, who, a few centuries back used to be raced a quarter of a mile, giving them the name Quarter Horse.
Racing: Turf and dirt racing, steeplechase, harness racing, and trot races.
Extra Curricular
~ Jockey Program: The Jockey Program is all about teaching young people about the sport of kings: horse racing. They can learn how to become a jockey, groomer, or trainer.
~ Thoroughbred Rescue Organization: We rescue abandoned, emaciated, abused Thoroughbreds who had been left to die by their old owners. You may train/rehabilitate one horse at a time. We are always getting new horses, so volunterr hours and donations will be happily accepted!
Our Facilities
~ Five large stables with twenty stalls in each barn. Six wash stalls in each barn. These stables are for the horses in training for races and other boarder horses.
~ Thirty stall "lesson horse barn." This barn holds the horses that we use to train potential jockeys.
~ Fifty stall racing barn for people who have come from other barns and from our own stable to race on our high-quality tracks.
~ Ten stall broodmare barn. Every stall is 10 by 10 feet.
~ Twenty stall rescue barn for the rescued thoroughbreds.
~ Forty stalled retiree stable. It's purpose is for retired race horses.
~Ten stall stud barn.
~ Four turf and dirt race tracks meant for normal racing and harness racing. We have a quarter mile race track as well, and a steeplechase race track.
~ Three hot-walkers. These are used to warm your horses up before a race, or to release some energy from them if you don't have time to ride.
~ Eighty-five acres of pastures and paddocks.
~ Apartments for jockeys-in-training and boarders of the racing school.
~ A large, one-hundred roomed hotel where people who don't board here can stay, waiting for the next race, which their horse would be entered in.
