Megan entered the ring with Flynn at a working trot, then halted him at X, then moved him forward again at a working trot. She moved his right hindquarter over the the track for the track left move, then she moved him toward the E. Megan turned Flynn toward the left at E and trotted him in a twenty meter circle, though she knew that they went out of lines once or twice while performing it. she went over to K, then crossed over to X and M, while she sat deep in the saddle, making Flynn stride lengthen slightly. At C, she did the rising trot with him for another twenty meter circle, letting Flynn have his head. Megan shortened her reins again as she slowed him down for a medium walk at C, then walked him to H.
At H, she moved him into the free walk over to P. Megan set Flynn back into the medium walk at P over to the F marker. She nudged Flynn into a working trot at F, then at A she squeezed his sides for a right-lead canter. At E, she did a 15 meter circle at the canter, then going back to M, she let Flynn lengthen his cantering stride more and more until P. From P to A, Flynn went at a working canter with Megan. She slowed him down to a working trot at A, then pointed him to X, slowing him down as she prepared for the halt. She halted Flynn at X, saluted, then walked him out of the ring.

Bree watched as the girl and her horse performed the test. They worked well together, and Bree felt a little nervous as she walked Cookie down to the entrance of the ring. She'd compted in plenty of dressage competitions before though; she and Cookie could do this!
Bree pushed Cookie into a trot and entered the ring, slowing the mare and halting her in the centre. She gathered her reins in her left hand, letting her right hand drop behind her thigh as she lowered her head in a respectful salute to the judges. Gathering up her reins again, Bree nudged Cookie into a trot, making sure the mare was working actively. Cookie arched her neck, and Bree had to bite her tongue to not laugh aloud. When they reached the edge of the arena, Bree turned Cookie to the left, keeping her moving forward and pushing her across to the fence. She glanced down at Cookie's outside leg, making sure that she was on the correct diagonal. They proceeded at a trot around the ring, Bree rising daintily in the saddle, just the way she'd been taught. She glanced down to double check that she was still on the right diagonal, and then pushed the mare into a twent metre circle at E. Completing the circle and rejoiing the track, Bree had a small smile on her face. She wiped it off, but she was still proud that Cookie had bent off her leg so well.
Feeling the mare begin to slow, Bree squeezed her up again into an active working trot, keeping her moving forward with the momentum of her own hips. When they reached K, Bree turned Cookie with a slight aid from the reins, using mainly her legs and seat to alter the mare's course. Cookie trotted across the diagonal of the arena, lengthening her stride when Bree asked. Reaching M, Bree slowed the mare back to a working trot, getting her to recollect her stride. Cookie obeyed, tossing her head slightly. Trotting past C, Bree again slowed Cookie, rising steadily to the new beat as she turned Cookie in a circle again. Keeping her outside leg on the mare, Bree loosened her reins and let Cookie stretch out. As they nearly reached the edge of the arena, Bree gathered her reins again and proceeded to slow the mare down to a walk.
From C to H, Bree used her hips to keep Cookie walking actively, and then loosened her reins again and stopped pushing at H. Cookie tossed her head gratefully, and walked down the diagonal of the arena, glad to have her head free. When they reached P, Bree gathered up her reins again and tightened her legd a touch, getting Cookie to track up into a medium walk. Bending around the corner, Bree gave Cookie another nudge, moving her into a trot at F. Cookie was lazier than she should have been, and as a result her canter transition at A was a bit sloppy. Bree made sure to keep the mare moving in an active working canter for the entire way to E, turning her just after E in a circle to the right.
As they cantered to M, Bree again tightened her legs slightly, and Cookie stretched out into an extended canter. Bree loved the way her mare moved under her, and again had to hold back a laugh. Dressage was supposed to be serious, all about the precision. Still, Bree's happy attitude kept Cookie enthusiastic, and the mare pricked her ears and tried to go faster. Bree collected her, and then at P started bringing her back down, so by A Cookie was cantering normally again. At A, Bree sat deep and slowed the mare to a trot, and when they again reached the centre of the arena, X, Bree slowed her straight from a trot to a walk. Cookie arched her neck gracefully, and Bree again dropped her right hand and saluted the judges.
Once she was dismissed, Bree turned Cookie with a smile, and walked the mare out of the ring. She gave Cookie a huge rub on the neck as soon as they were free, praising her. "Good girl!" she grinned to her horse, who bucked excitedly. Bree laughed, and walked her around a little more to cool her down.

(I can do it, it is a rule but I am allowed to since I own this site. Many sites have that rule and ours does also. Sometimes I do try to use IC also just to encurage it.)
