Chelly stood next to Bee, waiting for her second class to start. She'd had a clear round in the jumping phase of the hunter class, and she was waiting for the other contestants to go before seeing if she'd made it through. She had no chance to watch the contestants, as it was time for her Show Jumping round, also the beginner class. She doubted she would get loads of luck and get a clear in both rounds, but Bee did have the ability to jump up to 5 foot, just she hand't been jumped for at least three months.
Chelly trotted her up on the car park where the cars didn't go, and listened to her trainers tips. Her trainer would never stop to give advice. But Chelly didn't mind, there was always room to improve. She moved into the warm up ring, and was lucky considering she was the only one in there. It would only last for a few seconds, before the riders came in in dribs and drabs. But she trotted a few 20m circles and laps before coming off a 20m circle and transitioning into canter. She popped over a few warm up jumps, and then over the oxer to see what Bee was like over it, she was fine. She watched out of the arena at the jumping arena. They were checking all the jumps before the judges were seated. She saw the microphone being tapped and someone speaking into it. Then she realised she'd been called into the ring. She gathered her reins and trotting into the arena.

Calming herself down, she held herself together as she trotted Bee in a circle, waiting for the bell to sound. Chelly pulled Bee to a halt, to relax the mare. Chealsea grinned as she made Bee trot around in the jumping arena. She looked happy enough. She heard the bell go and putting back her leg, she kicked, sending Bee into a controlled canter. They weaved in and out of the jumps, towards the designated 1st obstacle. She glanced at the obstacle, before leaning the whip back slightly. She felt Bee twist sideways, they leapt up and over the vertical. She didn't look back, but just kicked Bee on, worried about getting time faults, even though she knew it wasn't possible to get any in today's competition.
As they speeded towards the second jump, Chelly thought how well Bee was doing. Not hearing a thump, she knew they'd cleared the jump, but only just. Chelly didn't care if her mare didn't finish this round as a clear, her mare had done amazingly to get a clear in the hunter class. After landing, they turned right and bounded towards the triple bar. It looked scary, which was very fazing, but Chelsea kept her leg on and even gave Bee a slip of the whip on the neck, from which Bee benefited, springing over the three bars. That jump was cleared by miles. The next two jumps, the square oxer and the hogsback all came quickly and Bee had no trouble over them, apart from his back leg catching the middle pole on the hogsback, but landed safely without a knock.
As they headed towards the wall, Chelly rocked forward in her seat, and caught unaware, Bee charged into a gallop. Chelly fell forward, and they were a few steps away from the wall. She slipped sideways but gripped to Bee's long mane. The reins were still in her hands, and she heard the crowd gasp. Chelly felt Bee's hooves lift off the ground, and the jolt sent her sideways, but this time into the saddle. She hung onto the pommel as she regained her reins, before landing the jump. She patted Bee, glad that the jump had been cleared and that she hadn't fallen off.
Coming to the two strided double, Chelly held her reins firmly and kept a good contact. Bee soared the first, but stumbled on landing. He pushed ahead to make the 2 strides, and they didn't knock any poles as they cleared the second part cleanly. The liverpool was nearing, and Chelly felt Bee from slipping under her, getting nervouser. With lots of leg, she rode him forward, better to have him jump it than run out. A sharp whip at take off shot Bee into the air. Though, it was a bad take off, the pole rattled, Chelly winced and closed her eyes. She paused and stopped Bee, she looked round, there wasn't a pole on the floor in sight! She punched the air with delight, before patting Bee and riding him out of the arena.
