I trotted down to the arena Gunny close on my heels, when I entered the arena the first place I went was to the grooming area, and started brushing Gunny, he seemed a good mood today, "well boy you ready for your saddle?" asked and he didn't give me an ear twitch, I lead him the middle of the arena, and slipped a saddle pad on him he didn't seem to mind it, and then I slipped the saddle on him very slow, and he flicked his ears a bit at the weight, "easy boy, its ok," I said to him hopping he would calm back down, adn he did "that's it good boy," I said, and slowly started to tighten the girth, he didn't seem to mind to much, when I was finally done with the saddle, and stepped back and he didn't do anything, "wow boy, you seem to be really calming down," I said to him, and then I went and got the training bridle I had grabbed form the training items the stable had, 'this is gonna be tricky' I thought, "em I wonder how I am gonna get this bridle on you," she said, thinking of what she should do, then she snapped her figures "I know" I said I had just remembered a set of apple flavered bit rapps in my grooming box, and then rapped them around each part of the snaffle, and before putting it on him, I made sure the rains wern't attached. then got him to take the bit straping the jaw gaurd as fast as I could, and then stepped back and let him play with it and see hpw he wpuld react to the bit he did great, and I walked up and clipped the lunge to the rope halter underneth the bridle, and started to lunge him, he did good and he was laerning to collect his gates rather good to, he was coming along rather nicley, and when I pulled him in he was nice and calm and seemed perfect with all the tack, his temper sure was boiling down since he started training. I sent him out again and he cantered around me.

I trotted down to the arena I something new planned for Gunny today, I had been lunging him with the bridle and saddle for a while now and thought he might be ready for some tests I wanted to see what he talent in, today I was gonna try lunging him over some jumps, I took him to where you groom the horses, and cross tied him like always, and brushed him down, in till he was shining like silver, and then she went and set some polls on the ground, and then went back and got Gunny, and started lunging him after he was ready, I pushed him farther away from me, and when he walked over the polls without any problems, I moved him to a trot with a word cue, "trot," and he moved into a very nice trot, and he went over the polls with a perfect gait, "Canter," I say and he moved to his smooth canter, and after he did this for a while, I pulled him back to me and gave him some treats, and a good scratch, and then I unclasped him there was a fence around the arena and the gates were all closed, so I didn't think anything of letting him wander around, but alls he did was follow me around and poke me in the back a bunch of times, and I kept shoeing him away, but he kept coming back, "OK I get it you want to play, but I'm busy OK" I said and he whipped his head and bumped me again, so I went and got his little Joly Ball and threw into the arena, and it kept him occupied for now, and then I found what I had been trying to find, I set one jump about one foot, and set the rest on the ground to help him keep an even gate, and I was about to go get him, when all the sudden something hit me as I stood up, of coarse it knocked me to the ground I turned around to see a Joly ball rolling past me on the ground, I rolled on to my butt, "you trouble some horse," I say laughing, and then he whinnied and did a small rear thing, and I got up and started brushing myself off, "come here," I said walking over and clipping the lunge back on him, and stroking his neck, I sent him around a few times and let him check out the jump and walk over it a few times, and when he did OK with this I moved him to a canter and as he went in the circle, he moved perfectly, and then he jumped with his muscles flexing, like a beautiful painting, I thought, and after a few more jumps, I cooled him out as usual, he hardly ever lost his temper anymore, "you are a smart boy Gunny," I said, giving him a huge and a pat on the neck, and I played with him with the Joly ball for a while.

( I was basing that on a two year old paint I had once, I didn't plan on riding her till she was three or four, but the lady I got her from said it would be good working with her with the saddle, so she would be used to it, and by the way she trained horses for like ten years, so I trusted her judgment, and I also know that she said it was fine to use a snaffle on her to teach her to keep her head down, and I also don't believe in riding them till they are three or four years old, cause they don't stop growing till their about five to six years old, and I thought it said on the thing about the colt that he was two years, and I have watched videos of young foals jumping over like half foot jumping following their mothers, and I even have a video of my filly on my computer walking around with her saddle on, )
