CAMERON BLAKE
He strode up into the arena, dark tall boots making marks in the deep sand. He flicked his black hair out of his eyes and looked around at the arena. He had been hoping he could just go down and get Stud ready but it looked like he would need to reset the jumps. Maybe a beginner had been learning how to jump since they were all 18" cross rails. He locked his emerald eyes on two sets of standards next to each other and head over he took one rail and set on the three foot back standard and set the near one for 2'9. He then went up to the next jump in the line and made it 3'3. He had finally set up all the fences in the arena for about 3 feet. He jogged over to the storage closet and found a liverpool. The fake water had always freaked stud out so he only set the fence above it to 2'3. Cameron's thorough bred gelding was fine with real water but you set a liver pool in front of a fence and he gets all wired up. Cam chuckled thinking about it, he sure loved his nuerotic horse. He wanted one more fence, and sadly it wasn't in the ring. He strode back over to the storage shed and began dragging on the coop, the stress making his muscles more defined as he pulled it out of the closet. Not wanting to mess up the newly dragged ring he hefted it up on to his shoulder and headed for the other spot on the diagnol at a weird shifting gait. He could have been mistaken for a zombie from afar. 'Though I am way too hot to be a zombie' he thought as he set the coop down. He adjusted it a little bit and then headed for the barn.
Twenty minutes later he was leading the dappled gelding into the arena and mounting up. He walked around a couple times to warm up Star Studded Knight. Warming himself up too holding himself in two point twice around the arena before asking his ex-racer to trot on. He sat and practiced leg yields on the long side, feeling studs legs cross over. After switching directions and continuing to trot for a while he went into the canter easily rolling with the 16.3hh horses large gait. His shaggy black hair flopped around a bit as did Star's mane as they turned towards their first fence a plain old three foot vertical, they sailed over easily and cantered towards the next fence. Star was notoriously strong and liked to go fast he had spent his first three years training for and racing on the track. Though he had never been that good. Cameron pulled back a little so he would get one extra stride and not crash through the fence. Star's muscles rippled under shining dapples as he soared over the second fence another vertical three three this time. As they landed the horse threw a little buck as he liked to do after clearing some jumps. Cam just pushed his heels down, sat back and continued on. Cam collected him a little through the cornor and turned towards the liver pool, he could already feel Stud starting to hesitate but he pushed him forward with leg and they flew over the small fence, well it didn't feet small the TB always took a liver pool about two feet over. The continued on clearing the coop and oxer and final verticle with ease and then slowed him to a walk through the corner.
