as the timer went off,Charlie lightly tapped his irish sport mare on the quarters and they set off at a rising trot.Warming Irish mist up,charlie did a couple of laps in trot then did a neat transistion to canter.Feeling confident, charluie rode irish mist forward towards the first jump.Charlie judged his stride and they took off pervfectly.Landing, charlie headed straight, then turned and went past the seventh jump,on the way to the second jump.Charlie tuned irish mist again,so that they were straigt on to the jump.Itrish mist approached it carefully and did yet another perfect jump. Irish mist headed forward in a working canter, they popped over the third jump.Charlie smiled, all was going well. They approached the fourth by taking a very sharp turn.Charlie half lost his balance but recovered as they jumped the fourth.
irish mist jumped all of the jumps perfectly. As they approached the tenth junp,a spread.Irish mist slightly tuned sideways.Charlie whipped her gently with his crop and tyhey had a wonky take off. They very nearly ciped the pole.Relieved, charlie headed towaards the 11th,then 12t6h jumps. All was great.
Charlie urged irish mist faster as they approached the last jump,an upright.Irish mist took off,she missed the pole by a cm!As charlie crossed the finish line,a smiled swept across his face.A clear round. He'd done a clear round.

Megan gulped nervously as Charlie finished a clear round. She knew that they were in for some trouble today. She took a deep, calming breath, then tapped Flynn's hindquarters with her riding crop. He moved forward at a lively rising trot into the ring. Megan trotted him around the ring for a few laps to make sure he was warmed up, then nudged him with her heels, asking him to canter. Megan directed Flynn toward the center of the first jump, which he cleared flawlessly.
After they landed, Megan cantered Flynn around the seventh jump, toward the second one, and they went over it nicely. The moment they landed, she prepared herself and him for the next jump which was very close. Flynn went over the six-foot jump like it was absolutely nothing. Megan cantered Flynn over to the fourth jump smoothly, looking right at the middle of the jump.
They went through the next four jumps beautifully, until they approached 9a, b, and c jumps. Flynn went over 9a and 9b, but as he came to 9c, someone in the crowd shouted, making Flynn shy slightly. Megan bit her lip as he popped messily over the jump from spooking. She turned him toward the tenth, a large spread jump, making her being calm and secure, so Flynn would feel that way. Megan heard a loud tick as Flynn jumped, and knew immediately that he had hit the last rail with the tip of his hoof.
The rest of the round went fantastically, minus the faults at the tenth and ninth-c jumps. Megan looked back at the tenth jump the second her and Flynn finished the round, and saw that the rail hadn't fallen when Flynn ticked it with his hoof. Even though they had a clear round, Megan was still worried about the nine-c jump, but she was still glad that it had been really fun!

Genavieve waited at the gate on her hanovarian, Gracie. As her name was called, she walked into the ring and waved as the commented on her. When her timer started, Gracie heard it and knew at that moment that it was time to show what they could do. Gena smiled as the mare surged forward with all of the speed they had been working on building up. The breeze blew pleasently in her face despite the sun and heat.
Gracie's hooves lifted as they approched the first jump, an oxar. The tall jump took strength, but they had build enough for it to not change anything. Gracie nickered as they moved at the next fence. They flew over it and got two strides before taking the next oxar. Leaning to the right, they got centered and sped over the fourth. Turning in a tight turn, the got the next fence followed by the next two jumps. Their turn was a bit wider this time but it didn't matter for the fact that their speed was unimaginative.
This was the part that was the hardest for them to take. It was a bounce of oxars and they were both six feet tall. Gena asked for the fastest pace she could manage and made the first part. "Now!" She screamed and Gracie lifted her hooves just bearly over the second half of the bounce. It wasn't over though, one stride later they popped over the next jump and rounded for the next.
A triple oxar lay in front of them, soon to be under them. Gracie rocked back on her haunches and threw herself up into the air. Gena lay her body flat in halfseat and it seemed like everything had stopped. For one second, she looked up into the eyes of her students and into the flashes of cameras. The insperation took over her and she edged Gracie to make it over the biggest fence out there. With a thud, they landed and took off again. The next fence came fast and they had to push off extra hard but they made it over. They took off and made the second half of it in time. The next to last fence was a big rush. One second they were strides away and the next, on the other side. With a cheer, they galloped to and over the last jump on the course.
Clear! They had made it... clear! Gena threw her first in the air and shouted along with the crowd of people watching her. Leaning onto Gracie's neck, she hugged her tightly before dismounting. Turning to a few of her students who had come up to her, she embraced them also. Her heart still beat hard from the excitment and she drew up against Gracie again and loosened her girth. "I will be back!" She smiled and cooled Gracie out, making sure to give her a carrot.
