Charlie walked into the pet shop. She heard cats meow, people talk, and dogs bark. She walked to the puppy section, and patted a black lab. She laughed as they all tried to climb over each other to get petted. Charlie saw a small puppy sitting in the corner by himself. He was a golden retriever, and he looked lonely. "Awe, what's wrong, boy?" She asked him. Charlies reached in to grab him. She held him in her arms, and he was very calm. "Do you wanna come home with me?"

I walked past all of our pups to see our lonely retriever puppy being held by a girl. I smiled. "He's a cutie, isn't he," I grinned to her, watching the pup sit quietly in her arms.

"He's adorable. I wonder why he is so lonely." Charie ran her hand through the puppy's back. Soon he was falling asleep in her arms. "I'm Charlie, by the way."

I smiled to her. "Some pups are just like that," I said to her. I nodded. "I'm Grace," I said, smiling. "Usually it's the runt of the litter that gets a little left out, but this little guy just doesn't really like joining in." I smiled as the pup started dozing off in Charlie's arms. "He certainly feels comfortable around you," I smiled to her.

"Awe, poor little guy." Charlie smiled at Grace and said, "It's nice to meet you. Do you work here?"

I smiled. "Nice to meet you too," I said to her. I nodded. "Yep, I work here, and I board and ride down at Green-Briar Farms," I said to her. "Do you ride?" I asked.

"Yes, I board and ride also at Green-Briar Farms." Charlie smiled at her. "So, can I buy this little guy?" She continued to pet him, and went over names that she could name him in her head.

"Oh that's cool!" I grinned to her. "Myabe I'll see you around there sometime!" I grinned and watched Charlie pet the puppy. I nodded to her smiling. "Of course," I said to her with a smile.

"Yeah!" Charlie walked with Grace and asked, "So what will I need to get him? Like, for accesories and food."

I smiled. "Well, for starters you'll need a couple of bowls for food and water," I told Charlie. I showed her a small empty pen where she could set down the puppy to get the equipment she needed. "Feeding-wise, he'll need a mix of wet and dry food. He's just been started on his solid wet food, so it shouldn't bee too much of a problem," I smiled to her. I showed her the different brands of food we had for puppies. "Most people seem to like using this one," I said, pointing to different kinds of Nutro Natural Choice: Puppy. "But the pups here get fed with Nutro and Purina," I said. "It's really up to you." I smiled to Charlie and let her have some time to figure out what kind of food to get. "As for collars and a lead, it's up to you again," I laughed to her. "You don't actually need a collar, but we do have a huge range of nice ones," I said, pointing to the aisle that accessories were located in. "But the next most important thing is toys, he'll need a few to stop him from getting bored and destroying things. You can take him down to the accessories and see which toys he likes best, if you want," I said.

"Oh wow, that's a lot!" Charlie exclaimed. "I'll take the Nutro Natural Choice." She grabbed a bag and slung it over her shoulder. It was heavy, and she stumbled a bit. She laughed and said, "I'll take him down to the accessories and show him the toys." Charlie grabbed the puppy out of the pen, and carried him down to the accessories. She fitted him for a collar, and got a brown one with a brown lead. She then took him to the toys, which he really seemed to enjoy. He really liked one of the bones, a tennis ball, a tug 'o' war chew toy, and a couple of stuffed animal chew toys that squeaked. Charlie grabbed a few extra tennis balls, and went up to the counter to buy everything. "Hmmm, I can't decide on a name," she said.

I smiled as Charlie came up to the counter with all of her things. "Yeah, there's a few things you need," I laughed. I started scanning items, thinking thoughtfully (hahah). "It's hard, naming new pets," I said. "My first dog didn't get a name until we'd had him for three days. It'll come to you," I smiled. I told Charlie the total of her purchase, grinning down at the little puppy. He seemed much happier already; he was going to have a good home with Charlie.

"Thanks so much!" Charlie said. She reached into her bag and grabbed out her wallet. She handed Grace the money. She grabbed her bags, her puppy, and waved to Grace. "Thanks again!!

I laughed. "No problem. If you ever need anything for him, come find me at Green-Briar, I might be able to help you out," I said to her with a friendly smile. "See ya round! Bye puppy!" I grinned, waving back to Charlie and her new pup.
