Crystal Lindze Payne
Name: Crystal Lindze Payne
Nickname: Crissy
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Appearance: Eyes: Brown
Hair: Brown hair that falls down to her butt.
She has a birth mark on her right shoulder that looks like a horseshoe. She also has a small scar on her left foot from the time she was riding bare back and fell off her horse at the age of five.
Height: 5’6
Riding Experience: Intermediate. Yet she hasn’t learned a certain discipline. Mostly done trail riding and exercise riding for her parents.
Disciplines: Wants to learn show jumping and cross country
Personality: She is a shy person feeling most comfortable around horses and animals. Yet once she gets to know you she comes out of her shell. At time she has an out going personality which is in contrast to her shy one. For her it depends on her “bravery” in the situation. For example if there is some one or something she really wants to know or something she will go for it. If she is approached by some one she might be shy. She loves to laugh and see others happy even if it means she puts her happiness aside. She is a very quick learner and is very easy to please.
History: She was born on her parents horse breeding/training farm. Her parents breed Arabians, Quarter Horses, and Thoroughbreds. They train them for show and racing. Her Mom used to ride and compete in the English Disciplines while her father trained race horses. They met one day at a horse auction and bickered over one of the horses. Years later they had three kids. She has two sisters, both older who surprisingly enough want nothing to do with horses. They were thrilled when she showed interest in them and sent her to the riding academy.
Riding School: Laurel Brook Stables
Horses Name: Moon Dancer
Breed: Andalusian x Arabian
Age: 5
Gender: Stallion
Personality: Dan enjoys his life as a horse and will take any opportunity to race the wind and play under the stars. He enjoys company and loves to be brushed. Anytime he sees a saddle he gets excited knowing an adventure is on its way. He is a very playful horse and loves to jump, even if it means jumping out of his paddock to run free and cause playful chaos.
Disciplines: Hunter, Show Jumping, Cross Country, Dressage
Appearance: Coat Color: Isabelle Palomino
Mane/Tail Color: White
Physical Description: He tends to be a little on the short side for an andalusian but his thick, muscled appearance makes up for it. His mane and tail are long and his forelock reaches down to just above his nose which gives him the habit of flicking it out of his large, brown eyes all the time.
Vices and Quirks: He is very playful and loves to run and jump, if your not paying enough attention he will take the bit and take you for a ride, which usually means running at full speed and jumping recklessly over obstacles. He hates to be behind anything, whether it’s a jumpable fence or another horses butt in a trail ride. Careful he will Nip if you pull on his tail, mane or forelock when brushing. He also Nips other males be it Horse, Human, or otherwise. He is strictly a one Woman horse, but will tolerate another female on his back. Watch out if your up to long he will try to unseat you.
Sample Post:
Crystals eyes shone with tears, as she kissed muzzles right and left good-bye. Finally she reached Arana’s stall the mare that had foaled her beloved Moon Dancer. Unlatching it she disappeared inside to wrap her arms around the mares neck. “Oh Arana I’m going to miss you.” The mare nickered in reply almost as if she too were saying good-bye. “Crissy are you ready yet? You still have to trailer Dan.” Crystal laughed softly and wiped away the tears. “Coming Mom.” With one last kiss on the mare’s nose she let herself out of the stall. Once out of the barn she moved over to the trailer and her beloved horse. “Is the trailer ready yet Dad?” She asked unclipping the lead shank from the trailer.
“All’s ready Princess.” Came the voice of her father as he moved down the loading ramp. “DAD don’t call me that.” Crystal stated with laughter as she moved up the ramp. Moments later she reappeared down the ramp to find her mom and dad trying to hide something behind them. “What’s that?” She asked curiously closing up the trailer and heading over. “Oh Darling we wanted to give you a gift.” They stated hugging her and giving her the key to a trunk. Opening it up she found a brand new saddle, bridle, halter, lead rope, grooming accessories, you name it she had it. “Oh Mom, Daddy thank you!!” A chorus of your welcomes ensued.
“We wanted to make sure you were looking good out there. Besides Arana already gave you her gift.” Her dad cracked, Crystal giggled. “Mom I’m so glad you trained Moon Dancer.” Her mother nodded, “Yes and he’s also competed for two years now as well. I’m sure he will make you a wonderful mount. He seems taken with you already. You be safe and make sure you write often.” After she promised she would she gave her parents a final hug and kiss. As she climbed into the truck that was to take her too the school she looked back at her parents. The driver loaded her trunk into the back of the pick up and started the engine. Her new adventure awaited her at school now. As the truck pulled out and away from Colt Creek Ranch she waved her final good-bye.
