KESHA ~ I walked down the isle of the stable checking in on all the horses, I stopped at Aqustin's stall and made a kissy noise. The big black stallion poked his out and nickered lightly as I handed him a little sweet heart candy. I smiled as he eagerly took it from my palm, I patted his neck and said, "soon you'll be a proud father." I said it while beaming at the thought of his and Sasha's foal, I really hoped it would be a girl and look some what like its mama. The stallion snorted as if insulted by my thoughts and I laughed giving him one more treat and pat before moving onto the other horses. Chaya one of the newest members to the stable nickered and whipped her head. I smiled and patted her neck as I walked and I was almost to Sasha's stall when JJ shot his head out of his stall, the cute little pony nickered a soft greating in his cute way. I smiled and rubbed his ears and whispered, "you scared me bud!" He snorted, whipped his head and stamped his foot. I rolled my eyes and handed him a treat, I was stroking his neck when I heard Sash neigh and kick her stall door. I laughed and jogged to her stall, "hey baby girl what ya doin in here?" I said, she shoved her head out of the stall and hit me with her head, I was knocked back off my balance and said. "Hey! What was that for?" She whipped her golden head and nickered, I laughed and handed her a sweet heart. As she quickly grabbed it I beamed at her, I couldn't believe it that soon she would be having her foal! I was excited I could barely sleep anymore and just wanted to run and stay with her all the time. I smiled and then heard a loud whinny behide me and turned to see Trish's horse Kickstart pacing around in his stall all hyped out, I frowned it wasn't like him to be like this right after morning feedings, he neighed again and bucked kicking his stall wall again. And then he reared and kicked at the door and that's when I started to worry...

I was walking down through the stables to feed the ever-hungry Jewel. I heard the usual morning sounds of horses nickering and munching, and I smiled to myself, hands in my pockets. I went straight to the fed room and mixed up both Gus and Jewel's feeds, then carried the two buckets down to their respective stalls. I sighed when I noticed Jewel's stall door wide open, and Gus' slightly ajar. Speeding up a little, I reached Gus' stall and poured his feed into his bin, then glared down at Jewel who was resting in the straw underneath the big chestnut. "Jewel, kiddo, you have your own stall for a reason," I sighed to her. The little donkey pricked up her ears and slowly rose to her feet, following me out of Gus' stall and into her own as I shook her feed bucket. I firmly locked the stall behind her after she'd been fed, then closed Gus' too. I stroked my chestnut on his forehead, running a hand down his big blaze. "Be good children," I muttered, starting to leave. I looked up in time to see Kesha being headbutted by Sasha. I laughed to myself and went over to say hi. "Somebody was hungry then," I laughed to her. She was facing the opposite way by the time I reached her, and I saw she was frowning at a different horse. "Earth to Kesha," I said to her, watching the horse too. "What's up?" I said, quickly catching on that something wasn't right. The big horse reared and kicked out, causing a couple of other horses to move to the other sides of their stalls, eyes beginning to roll white. "Easy, big guy," I murmured, frowning myself now. "What's his deal?" I asked Kesha, still watching the horse.

I nearly jumped out of my skin when Will spoke to me, I took a deep breath and said. "Jeez! You scared me!" I laughed shaking my head, Sash stretched out her neck and nickered to him and then whipped her head back and neighed when Kickstart reared. "Whoa easy girl," I said holding her halter trying to calm her down. I looked to Will and shrugged, "I don't know whats wrong with him! He is usually so well behaved, and mellow after Trish feeds him." I said looking at the big black thoroughbred something was defiantly wrong with him, he snorted and pawed the ground. I started to take a step towards him when he pinned his ears and bucked again. I jumped back, "he has never done that before." I looked back to Sasha she was upset and was spinning in her stall snorting, she pawed the ground and neighed at Kickstart. And that's when I heard one of the other horses neigh and kick their stall. I looked to Will and frowned worried, "what is going on with him? I can't call Trish she's not here! And Neither is Barbie she's in town!" I said getting ready to panic. Kickstart spun in his stall, snorted and whinnied over to the stall next to him, Light's stall? Was something wrong with Katie's mare? I took a step towards her stall but as soon as I did Kickstart lunged forward and tried to bite my arm. I jumped back and said, "I think..." I trailed off before I finished. "Umm... that he's protecting Light..." I said trailing off again looking to Will. I Jumped when Sash shoved me and nickered I brushed her head away from me and pulled out my cell.

'umm... Trish! You and Katie need to get to the stable now! Something up with ur horses!'

I texted to them and then I turned to see Sasha circling and pacing, she was breathing heavily and snorting. I gulped and looked to Will, "Umm... you wouldn't by any chance know what the signs of a mare going into foaling is do you?" I laughed worriedly. This day was going to be crazy!

I grinned and shook my head. "Sorry," I laughed to Kesha. I glanced at the horses and frowned again, something was definitely up with them. Looking back down the aisle, Gus was fine and not freaking out. I breathed a sigh of relief, but turned back to the matter at hand. When Kesha said it wasn't at all like the big black horse, I glanced in his direction. He definitely did seem antsy. I nearly took a step towards him, instinctively wanting to calm him down, but thought better of it. If he was lunging at Kesha, chances were he wouldn't mind taking a chomp out of some guy he didn't know. "Hey, it's okay!" I said, when Kesha started getting worried about the owner not being here. "Everything's gonna be fine," I said, trying to soothe her. "We can't help him by being worried ourselves, can we? Just don't panic, everything will be okay. I promise." I stared at Kesha, waiting until she looked at me before I continued. I glanced into the other stalls when Kesha said the horse was protecting another. "Could be," I said, glad that she was thinking logically instead of panicking. "Which one's Light? The grey mare?" I asked her. I made shushing noises to Kesha's mare who was pacing frantically too. I chewed my lip and stared at Kesha like she was crazy. "Wait, so the big guy is protecting a mare that's pregnant? With his foal, right?" I said, slowly putting the pieces together. It sounded weird, but kind of made sense. "Um. Foaling...right," I said, slowly shaking my head. "All I know is the mare will pace and lay down a lot before she goes into labour," I said to Kesha. "And with this dude going nuts I can't see what her udder looks like. She might be foaling, but mares have false labours too." I hoped the mare didn't foal now. There was no way we'd be able to get close to help with the crazy dad protecting his girl. "It'll be okay," I said to Kesha, trying to give her a reassuring smile.

Katie~
I got Kesha's text and ran to the barn as soon as I could. I was worried the whole time, I almost wanted to cry. What was wrong with Light? I jogged into the barn panting and heard a shrill whinny, definitely Light. I didn't want to scare her so I walked slowly into the barn and up to her stall, my heart pounding. I walked up to her stall and she was pacing, then she laid down. She seemed restless and uncomfortable, she got up again and started to pace again. "Ohhhh no." I said reaching to unlatch her stalll door. As soon as I did, Trish's horse, Kickstart, lunged at me. "Kickstart! You never do anything like that!" I scolded him, but he didn't back off and wouldn't let me near Light. I flipped open my phone and texted Trish to get here fast. We couldn't get near Light without Trish here. I texted Kayla, I was pretty sure Light was foaling, and then texted Simon. I started pacing too, Kick was being protective and there was no use in trying to go for Light. I tried one more time reaching for her stall door. Kick lunged again, nearly getting my arm with his teeth. Light saw and neighed to Kickstart, but began to pace and lay down, over and over again. I blushed and looked to Kesha and Will. "Anyone know what to do when a mare is foaling?" I asked almost a little embarassed by asking. I almost felt like I wanted to throw up with Light like this and Kick not letting me get to her.

~ Kesha ~

I looked to Will and thought a moment. "Watch it!" I said when Kickstart again. I felt like my head was going to explode and I thought that Sash was going into labor and Light probably was too and I was guessing that that was the reason Kickstart was acting out so bad. I rubbed my temples listening the Will's voice, trying to get my brain back into place. I looked back at Sasha and thought that she looked stressed and Kickstart was making it worse, I was worried that if she got to upset she'd lose it. I listened to Wlll and then said. "Well crap then cause if that's how they act then Sash just went into it!" I exclaimed watching the upset mare. I turned a circle and said, "yeah your your right everything will be fine. Horses have foals all the time." I said trying to convince myself I think. I whirled around when I heard Light whinny and thought some curse words and then saw Katie and Kickstart try to attack her. "Watch it!" I yelled as Kickstart almost got her arm, I looked around and then said. "Nope... But umm... I think we have two mares going into labor." I said looking from the Sasha who was pacing and snorted, she was not being herself and acting like Light.

~ Trish ~ I ran into the barn both Kesha and Katie had texted me. Right when I got there I saw Kickstart lunge and try to bite them. I ran down to the three people and said. "What the hell is going on here?"

I stared at Kesha, dumbfounded. Half-ignoring the other girl that had walked in, I glanced to Sasha and groaned. "You mean Sasha's having a foal too?!" I asked, gulping. I sighed and took a deep breath. "Um...First things first...We need to get that guy settled down. We can't help anybody if he's going nuts," I said, watching Kickstart as he went psycho and tried to bite. "And then..um...We stay calm I guess?" I said, a little nervously. I'd never helped with a foaling before, but I'd seen a couple. "Then once we can actually get into the stalls, we can wrap the mare's tails. But you don't have to...it just helps everything stay neat I guess. So unless you wanna be killed by mr Overprotective here, I suggest we deal with some baby juic in their tails." I frowned as Kickstart lunged again, then glanced across to the two mares and their worried owners. "Then we wait and see," I told them. "They can do it themselves, and we don't wanna get involved unless they need help," I said, trying to encourage them. I looked up as yet another person came rushing in.
"Well...Um...Let's see," I said, pretending to count off my fingers. "We have a psycho horse who won't let us near his girlfriend, two anxious mares probably going into labour, two worried owners, and a guy who has no clue what's going on." I looked up to the newcomer. "So I really, really hope you know how to help, cause we're kinda lost here."

I looked to the other mare most likely in foal, and sighed. I ignored the other two people and focused on Light. She kept pacing and laying down, and I felt like I was gonna throw up just seeing her like this. I texted Simon telling him about everything going on, hoping he would come or text me back to keep me calm. Trish came running in the barn and I kept myself from rolling my eyes at the guys answer. I turned to Trish. "Yeah, you might need to take Kickstart outside or calm him down. If you can," I said half-jokingly, even though now wasn't the time. I looked to Light, and she snorted then began to pace again. "I'll wrap her tail it'll give her somethiong to focus on," I said. I slowly walked into Light's stall when Kickstart was turned towards Trish. He saw me and lunged again, and I jumped out of the way and into Light's stall. Light whinnied to me and gave me this look. I backed away and out of her stall then. "No, she has to do it on her own unless she absolutely needs our help," I said to noone in particular. I looked over to the other girl, Kesha. "How's your mare?" I asked her peeking nervously to her mare. Kickstart bobbed his head at me as I backed out of Light's stall. I turned to Trish. "What do we do now?" I asked her, as if she would know.

~ Kesha ~

I ran both my hand through my hair and thought Sash was foaling and was also very stressed at Kickstart's behavior. I looked to Will and said. "Yes she is! And I think we all need to stay calm and help the mares relax or something could go wrong, I think I really have to freaking idea though." I said trying to be calm. I looked to Trish and almost rolled my eyes at Will's answer to her. "Okay Trish you need to get him under freaking control! And tell us what we need to do!" I almost snapped at her and then looked to Katie and said. "Sasha's fine but Kickstart is really stressing her out." I said looking to Trish. Sasha nickered and nudged me before circling again. "Okay girl your gonna be just fine." I whispered to her and watched her circle around and lay down a few times before pacing again.

~ Trish ~

Okay I felt like I was gonna a sticking aneurysm from the headache forming in my head. I rubbed my temples and thought. "Okay first things first we need to get any stress off the mares or it cause problems if the mares try to delay the birth cause they think their baby is endanger." I said and looked to Katie and Kesha. "I'll do better then get him outside I'll make him mind his own d*mn business." I said and then added, "pardon my language." I walked right up into Kickstart's reach and when he tried to snap at me I smacked him right across the snout and said. "NO!" He jumped back and reared and when he landed his ears were still flat. "Kickstart. I am only gonna warn you once knock off your crap!" I snapped and started to walk closer to his stall. "Trish be careful! He could hurt you!" Kesha warned and I ignored her. I knew Kickstart better then anything in this world and I knew he would never hurt anybody on purpose, he was worried about Light and wanted her protected. As I got closer I began to whisper to him. "Hey ol' man she is gonna be fine. But you have to trust me on this, you need to be taken outside. Come one sweety let me take you out." He snorted and his eyes rolled but I knew him and wasn't scared of him one bit, he knew what I wanted and he was gonna give it to me. "Come on babe you know I would never hurt you or her, come with me." He snorted and pricked his ears forward a moment and then whinnied to Light again, "no boy you need to look at me." I said and he whipped his head but let me in his stall, "okay boy bring your head down." I slowly asked him to lower his head and he snorted before allowing me to slip his halter and lead on. "Okay now all of you get out of my way and stay out of his kick and bite range both front and rear." I said still whispering my loving soothing words to him.

I looked to the other mare, concerned, but nodded my head at Kesha and looked back to Light. I ignored the others and let Trish get Kickstart. she didn't need help and she knew what she was doing. And Kickstart knew to listen to her once he got the message. Light snorted and bobbed her head at Kickstart, almost like she was telling him to just go with Trish. I almost thought that he may be freaking her out a bit too. I backed myself up as far as I could against Light's stall as Trish brought Kickstart out and felt Light nudge my arm. "Girl, it's gonna be okay. You and your baby will be fine," I said soothingly to her. She nudged my arm again one more time before walking back and pacing again. She layed down again and then got up with a jump, snorting and pacing again. I leaned against the stall door, feeling woozy. If I didn't have the stall to lean on, I thought I would fall and almost faint. My head hurt bad and I didn't take my eyes off of Light. I couldn't, even if I wanted to. She needed me and even if I tried, I knew I couldn't take my eyes off of her.
(EDIT: IM SO SORRY I FORGOT THe ORDER THING ILL WAIT NOW. Gah why do you posts have to give me so much muse KM it's all your fault.... haha just playing(: )

I watched as Trish gave her horse a talking to, and led him calmly out of his stall. I stepped back, out of the way, grabbing Kesha's arm and pulling her back with me. Even though Kickstart looked a lot calmer now, I really didn't feel like having my head kicked in. I glanced to everybody in the barn and nearly sighed in relief. To me, it seemed like both mares were calming down, although they were still pacing around. I swallowed past the lump forming in my throat and tried to relax, although I felt like I was wound tighter than anything.
"Everything's gonna be fine guys," I heard myself saying, although I didn't know who I was addressing. "These girls are gonna have gorgeous, healthy foals, and everything will be okay."

~ Kesha ~

I jumped back when Will grabbed my arm and looked to him. I thought he might be trying to hold together a little bit but wasn't sure cause my brain was going crazy all the while. I turned and looked at Sasha. SHe snorted in my face before pacing some more but she did look calmer as Kickstart left the stable, this may not be as bad I thought. Sash started to spin and then dropped. "Easy girl your okay." I said and then looked to Will. I sighed trying to believe that everything would be okay praying that it would be. I nodded and said. "Yes your right everything will be fine." I leaned on Sasha's stall feeling slightly tired.

~ Trish ~

I sighed in releif as I walked back into the stable, I could hear Kickstart neighing and when I left him he was going nuts. I smiled at them and said. "Okay everythings fine as long as he doesn't jump the da gong fence!" I said and I was so not kidding and Katie would know this cause the first day me and her got here we both jumped our horses over it so he could do and a little peace of me knew he would try too! I looked in on Sasha and then Light. "Okay I think they'll be fine as long as nothing else upsets them they should foal soon. Its like really fast with nothing to worry about." I said trying to get rid of the headache Kickstart and all the stressed caused.

I watched as the guy and Kesha jumped back and Trish lead Kickstart out. She came back not much later and I head the guy saying that everything was going to be okay. I didn't reply but I was sure everything would be okay. Trish came back and was talking. I could barely listen to her but I managed to make out what she had said. I nodded. " I don't think anything else will really upset Light...." As soon as I talked Light layed back down, but this time didn't get back up straight away. She stayed down a little longer then she had before, then got back up again. She paced some more before laying down again and not getting back up. I backed away from the stall a little and called to Trish. "Tr-Trish..." I couldn't watch I backed up a bit more so I couldn't directly see Light. Was she foaling right now? Like for real and honestly giving birth now? She didn't get back up again, I had a feeling she was.
