Name: Lyla Chambers
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Appearance: Lyla has long dark brown, almost black hair that has a natural light curl to it. She normally wears it down with side bangs sweeping across her forehead, almost covering one of her dark brown eyes. Lyla maintains a light tan year round and stands at 5'5, weighing in at 125 pounds.
Riding Experience: Lyla has essentially ridden her entire life, trying out almost every discipline before setting her sights on eventing. Her parents tried to buy her affection, so Lyla is outfitted with only the best tack, but that wouldn't make a difference in her natural abilities in the saddle.
Disciplines: Lyla is a competitive eventer, competing up to training level on her fireball gelding, Quantum Leap.
Personality: Lyla is a little rough around the edges and can seem rude and impersonal when you first meet her. However, once you push through her tough exterior, Lyla is a girl who would do anything for the people she cares for, but if you break that trust, you're toast. If Lyla knows anything, it's how to hold a grudge... and revenge. All said and done, if Lyla likes you, she is as sweet as can be and fun to be around, if she doesn't, good luck.
History: Lyla was brought up in a two parent home with one brother. Her parent's are probably the reason that Lyla grew up as rough as she did. They were always trying to push her to be the perfect little diplomat daughter they needed to close more deals, add more money to their already bloated bank accounts. But Lyla wouldn't put up with it. She spent more time at the barn than in her own house and she wouldn't have it any other way.
Horses Name: Quantum Leap, King for short
Breed: Holsteiner
Age: 8
Gender: Gelding
Personality: King is a fireball both under saddle and in hand. He has taken out his fair share of grooms with both his front and back end. Unless he takes to you, it may be best to walk away... quickly. Personality wise, King and Lyla are a perfect match.
Disciplines: Mainly events, but has done upper level dressage as well.
Appearance: King stands at 16.3h. He is a dark bay color with a small white star adorning the center of his head. He has two white half cannons in the back and multiple ergot spots on his hind legs. King has a very strong and muscled hind end which allows him to jump as high as he does.
Vices and Quirks: King tends to bite and kick more than is specifically necessary but he turns into puddy in your hands if you either show him your not afraid or you bring him black licorice.
Sample Post: Lyla stepped out of her truck, slamming her door as she began walking towards the barn. As she stepped over the threshold, she paused for a minute, smelling the hay and horse filled air of the barn. Looking down the long barn aisle, Lyla spotted her baby, King, poking his elegant head over the stall door. After grooming and tacking up King, Lyla snapped her helmet on and mounted up outside the barn. She leisurely made her way up to the jump ring, the standards still set up from the last lesson. Once inside the ring, she asked King for a trot and to come up into a frame in order to start their schooling session. Riding King on sunny, breezy days like this were what made the world go round for Lyla Chambers. On days like this, it seemed like nothing could go wrong.
