Lyla Chambers stepped out of her car into the brutal wind, throwing her hair all over the place. She quickly made her way towards the door and pulled it open, composing herself in the warm interior before continuing on to what appeared to be a reception desk. Once she reached the desk, she introduced herself, "Hey, I'm Lyla Chambers. I'm new." Looking around at the hustle and bustle of activity around the school made Lyla a little nervous as to where she would fit in. However, as long as her horse, King, had made it here alright, everything would be just fine.

(I like your picture!)
The woman looked over her cup of coffee to meet the eyes of a new student. "Fill these out." The lady picked up a packet and thrust it out to Lyla. Her hands came back to type eagerly at the keyboard of her computer.

(Thanks :] )
Lyla rolled her eyes before taking the packet that was practically thrown at her. She grabbed a pen before sitting down in a chair and filling out the boring and repetitive packet. After a few minutes, Lyla walked back to the receptionist and handed the papers back at her with the same vigor as they were handed to her. "I have a horse coming. When will he arrive?" Lyla asked, tapping her foot impatiently.

The lady narrowed her eyes and frowned, "I don't know but I think you should." She shook her head and spoke, "Will you be taking an apartment room? Or lessons?"

Lyla inhaled before smiling sweetly, and fakely, and saying "An apartment will be fine. And what level do the lessons go up to? I'm an eventer, by the way." She pulled her phone out of her pocket and checked it, no new messages. She would have to call home later, ugh, to find out when King was arriving. And he had better be on his way. She wasn't sure how long she was going to last in this place without him.

The lady nodded, handing her a key on a key ring. "Well, she could probably give you some pointers or you could just ride without lessons."

"Thanks." Lyla grabbed the key from the lady's hand and walked towards the door. Once inside her truck she attached the key to her key ring and drove off in the direction that the barn appeared to be in.
