Paige unlocked the door to her new apartment of sorts and groaned. She still hadn't unpacked most of her things, better get started then eh? She walked over to the place where she had last seen a laundry basket and began to lift things off of the construction site. Soon she came across a tall standing basket. Aha! It is here. Paige chuckled at herself. Sometimes she was just too horse oriented, she didn;t even stop to think about unpacking! Paige stuck the laundry basket in an appropriate corner of her bathroom and opened the duffle in there to find her toiletries and towels. First try, yay! Paige grabbed a towel and hung it on the towel rack neatly. Then she went to work fitting all her makeup and things in the medium sized, but tiny cabinet she had. Finally after what seemed like forever, everything was in its respectful, easily acessed spot. She cleared out the remaining junk and bags out of the bathroom and put those away as well. Paige hauled her clothes trunk to her room and began unpacking that as well. The original plan was to just dig through things, but Paige always felt better when everything was clean and tidy, and most importantly where it belonged. She folded all her clothes neatly and put them in either her dresser or her small, but big enough closet. In her dresser she stuck her schooling riding clothes, like her jodphurs and polo shirts; her multiple pairs of jeans, each with its own unique story; the casual tops; her pajamas, and finally her underthings. Well now there was only her show clothes, the few dressy items she owned, and the J. Crew style work clothes she bought especially for her teaching job; to put in the closet. Her shoes were placed in pairs on the floor of her closet.
Paige took care of the rest of her belongings, furnishings and such, quickly. She wasn't too picky about where certain pieces of art, or different throws were. Every type of furnishing she owned was either modern loft, or vintage, so everything went together in a nice homey sort of fashion; but most importantly it still looked good. Paige was proud. Under four hours was what it took to unpack everything. She glanced at the clock that she put above the telephone on the wall. Wow six already? Time to get ready for dinner with Kristin and Kirk.
Paige strode over to the bathroom where she undressed and hopped in the shower. She didn't realize before how sore her muscles got from riding then unpacking. The steamy hot water helped soothe them. The honey blonde girl was out of the shower quickly. There's something to say for limited water supply at home. Paige put on her bathrobe, and ran some creme through her hair to tame it. She strode over to her closet. While she was unpacking, Paige came across a neat vintage number that she completely forgot she even had. It was a light seafoam green, that could even pass for blue in the right light, that had classic draperies across the dress. Paige pulled it out and laid it on the bed. She returned to the less steamy bathroom to apply her beauty products, and stick some makeup on; only a simple light cocoa eyeliner that was only a touch sparkly, a few coats of her favorite mascara, and some tinted lip balm. Simple, and natural; extremely Paige. Paige dried her hair so that it was in its natural waves. Thank goodness for the hair cream, because it wasn't at all frizzy. She slipped into the dress on the bed, pairing it with some simple nude ballet flats, an eco friendly clutch made out of old feed bags, and an understated gold necklace that had a horse charm on it. Paige checked the time once more, seven, perfect. Paige took a quick sweep of the tiny rooms and turned off any remaining lights. She headed out the door and locked it, while trying to remember which room Kristin was in. Paige remembered, and strode down the hall, she rapped twice on the door and ran a hand through her hair as she waited for an answer.
