FRIDAY
"Hey girl" I strode up to the mare who had carried me through the olympics. Winning me three different gold and two silver medals which were now on display in the office. In one hand I held a scoop of grain, sprinkled with supplements to keep her happy and heathly, and in the other two flakes of hay. The chestnut brindle whinnied in excitement. My hano mare is a real sucker for food. I opened the door to her hay rack and the feed bin beneath it. dumping in the grain first and then throwing the hay into the metal hay rack. The mare dived the moment the food hit the smooth surface, her body a chestnut and white blur. I laughed heartily and slipped in, checking her all over. Rose had a bad habit of somehow getting a varitie of different cuts and bruises in places where it would seem impossible to get injured. I could put her in a padded stall and she would still manage to get cut, or bump her self on something. Today though she was all good, not a sore in sight. I patted her gently and slipped out of the stall letting her feed in peace.

SUNDAY
Two flakes of hay and a scoop of grain, topped off with supplements. were dumped into bins and feedracks of Rose's stall. I waited and watched as my horse greedily devoured her meal. When my brindled mare was all done I simply slipped a halter onto her head a helmet onto mine and lead her to the ring. "Come on girl." I gently coaxed the hanoverian to the mounting block, swung up, and sat on my mare's warm back. I slipped the halter off and sent her to the left using a gentle urging from my right leg. We walked a few laps, then trotted, gently moving to the beat and then to a canter. I rolled my hips in time with the motion of her body, my arms outstretched as I turned her asking her to canter over the jump. She obliged happily pricking her ears as we glided over the course. Vertical X-rail oxars barrels walls we took everything before I turned to cool her out. easily walking along the rail. before I dismounted and brought her back to the barn. Grooming spotts and ruffs out of her coat and left her to nap in peace.
