Kayla smiled happily as her and her dad pulled up to the Green-Briar Farms Riding Academy. She unbuckled quickly and hopped out of the green pick up truck and walked quickly to the horse trailer in the back. She slowly opened the trailer and smiled seeing her palomino welsh, Angel. Angel stepped forward towards Kayla. Kayla hooked Angel's halter to her lead rope and lead her out. "Hey dad, can you get my tack, grooming box, and Angel's stuff?" She asked. Her dad shrugged but went and got the stuff anyways. Kayla followed a sign to the boarder's barn. She walked into the horsey smelling barn until she came to an empty stall. She shrugged. "Guess this is us." she lead Angel into the stall and her dad followed. Kayla took the stuff and hung Angel's stuff outside her stall and set her tack trunk and grooming box right outside Angel's stall. She put her few bags into a corner of Angel's stall so noone would get it while she went to go figure everything out. Kayla hugged her dad. "I have to go now, Kay," Her dad said. Kayla smiled. "thanks, i'll call you later," she said to her dad. "Bye, love ya," he dad smiled before he walked back out to the truck and drove away. Kayla smiled and hugged Angel. "I'll be right back," she promised. "I have to run to the office."

Kayla stepped into the neat looking office and gasped. "Whoa. This place is awesome." She smiled and looked out a window down to the barn where Angel was at. She took a piece of horse hair off her flowy white tank top and flicked a piece of lint off her gray breeches. She checked her black half chaps that were zipped up over her shiny black paddock boots. She smiled. Everything looked good for a first impression. Horsey, but neat. She stepped up to the desk in the office, but noone was there. Kayla looked around. Nope. Nothing. Noone. They were probably in the back or taking care of something else right now. Kayla shrugged and waited as patiently as she could. She reached into her right half chap and got her cell phone out. It was her secret place for mints and sometimes her cell phone. She flipped open her cell phone and quickly texted her mom.
I'm at the academy now with Angel. We're both fine, 'll call ya later. (: <3 ya, Kayla.
She flipped her phone shut and put it back into her half chap. She tapped her fingers on the desk, waiting for someone to come.
