Lilly held mommy's hand tight as we walked along the path, away from her little station waggon that we left in the parking lot. I half walked half ran to keep up with mommy's quick stride. My black leather riding boots with purple embroidered flowers made crackly noises against the gravel. I wore my beige riding pants and a pink v-neck long sleeved sweater with little frills around the neck line and the ends of the sleeves. I'd gotton mommy to embroid a little curly L on it for Lilly.
I tried to look everywhere at once. But mommy was pulling me along with such o force that I could hardly look at one place before my head was jerked and I had to look at the next. I staggered along next to her for a short while. She slowed down finally. I looked to see where we were. She pushed open a set of double doors and we walked into a pretty room with pictures of horses all around it.
Mommy finally let go of my hand and I was free to go and look at all the pretty books about horses lying on a table. I watched as mommy strode over to the front desk and rang the bell. I smiled widely. If mommy and daddy were gonna have to move away for a while and I couldn't come (They were gonna be really busy and they wouldn't have time to look after me) this was gonna be a great place to stay.
I didn't have my own horse, of course, but I had Smokey, my little grey tabby kitten. Smokey liked horses so she would be fine living here. Mommy rang the bell again and looked around. 'Hello',she called.

I was walking into the office to grab some paper work for the new students. Seeing another mother and daughter waiting, I smiled. "I am sorry for the wait! Do you need to sign her up?" I loved new students period. Most of them were nice and great riders. My boots were not too muddy yet but my hair was a bit frizzy from the humidity. I swung around to the other side of the desk which was not familiar to me. I couldn't figure out where the woman was that worked in the office and I needed to get back to my lessons soon.
